Loved the song , Posted the lyrics a few days back and one visitor asked for the translation thot will give it a try, after all tamil is my mother tongue :) But while translating realized the like most new age tamil songs even in this one the lyrics dont mean much. Nevertheless nice song.

I thought the singer (Udit Narayanan?) killed the essence of the song, but after reading your post i just realized that he is much better!

Kathal Mandhiramo refers to Magic of Love (as in Maaya Mandhiram) not Love Mantra!

It is actually "idhazhgaLil kadandhu vidu" as in kiss all over my body and "kulangalai thirandhu vidu" is actually "Pulangalai thir.." meaning with your meesai open my senses (referring to his meesai titillating her while he kisses all over her).

I dont think so , will have to ask the lyricisit but to the best of my knowledge manthiram is mantra, maya mantiram is magic and mantra
The mesai part and the idhazal part is too good, listening mistake i guess , this means i will have to change the lyrics i posted too , thanks for spotting the error.
