Khakhee --- A review

This is the second movie I saw this year. The first one being Arjun's Giri. Giri was quite OK worth watching once, to summarize TP(Time Pass). But the movie doesn't deserve a review by an expert like me so lets get into details of Khakhee.

I dunno when this movie got released but i got to see it only 5 days back. The movie has a good star cast - Amitabh Bachchan, JayaPradha, Ajay Devgan, Akshay Kumar, Tushar Kapoor, Prakash Raj(You read that right the famous tamil villian) and the queen of a million hearts(but not mine) Aishwarya Rai.

The movie starts in a quite common(although not cliche) style Amitabh is a sincere police officer who is about to retire but hasn't earned any big laurels for himself. He doesn't get promotions in time cos he is sincere blah blah blah.

Akshay on the other hand is corrupt police officer who enjoys life. Now I will not go into the details of the story. I will just review things from a 5000 feet height.

Khakhee - from 5000 feet

Story - OK, infact quite good but yup the good wins over the bad that is how it has to end right.

Screenplay - full of interesting twists and turns. Except for the one in which they reveal that Prakash Raj is also a villian. Now thats quite obvious.

Camera, Direction- Good, been quite sometime since i saw this good a hindi movie.

Songs - Not good , but you can listen to them.

Acting- This is the most interesting part. Big B everyone knows is good aat acting nothing much to speak of it here except ofcourse his expressions are getting very monotonous. Akshay has acted well. Ajay Devgans acting is the best. Really good I liked it and tushar has acted well too. Prakash Raj anyways is one of the best villians out there today but then this being his first movie in hindi not much role for him. Aish - sorry but i dint see her acting.2.5 points on a scale of 5. Yup she smooches well in the movie.

Dialogues- If you know hindi you will enjoy them. At some places it is really cool.

Summary - The movie is definitely worth watching with a lot of good twists and turns and the actors doing justice to their role.

cheers,
Badrinath.V.S :-)
